This was my second trip with Vintage Rides. I wanted to share the experience with my youngest son who is 22, whilst i am 62. We wanted an adventure so choose "To the Gateway of Tibet" tour, we were looking for challenges, scenery and culture we would not normally experience. You have a long coach transfer from Delhi to Nagger but once you arrive in the region you quickly forget about the transfer. We were a group of 10, 5 from France, 3 Belgium and my son and myself from the UK. It was a great group to travel with, we all bonded extremely well, although language was an issue it was never a barrier. The trip had everything to make it a truely memorable experience from sweeping roads through to off roading including rivers running across roads. The altitude was only really noticeable when you stopped and walked somewhere but you quickly adapted. It was a tiring trip but worth every minute. The tour leader, mechanic and support drive were fully integrated within the group and were a fantastic team. My son and I will definitely take another trip, and look to take my other son as a pillion. But this particular trip would not be suited for a pillion. I keep going back to all the pictures I took and the group shared and it is amazing at how many things we did, and how much enjoyment we got from this wonderful shared experience.

It was excellent. Sometimes scary, the level of riding involved consentration, the views were spectacular, the organisation was perfect. Bike great. I couldnt fault a think. More than I expected. I shall be back for more.

Just rough enough to make it feel like a real adventure . Bikes are perfect for the roads encountered. We were eying the Himalayan while in Manali , but in hindsight the Bullet is bomb proof and very forgiving of a clumsy rider.
